About Us

Foremex Industrial Group was formed in 2010 through the collaboration of Antania and Grupo BSV with the purpose of providing services of collection, processing, handling and management of metal waste to the automotive, industrial, metal-mechanical and transformation industries.

Antania had many years of experience in the scrap recycling sector and Grupo BSV in the steel industry. The first important contract we closed was with Nugar, today CIE Automotive, located in Tultitlan, State of Mexico. At that time, it was decided to open a yard and invest in compactors, trucks, cranes, and different equipment to handle and process all the material that was generated.

We continued to grow over the years offering our service to different companies and at the end of 2013 we managed to close a very important contract with Ford Motor Company for the handling of its materials at the car assembly plant in Hermosillo, this in conjunction with one of the most important recyclers in the United States, Scrap Metal Services. It was then decided to open a new company together to deal with this service and SMS Foremex was created.

Just one year after the creation of SMS Foremex, a Joint Venture was agreed between the two companies, Grupo Industrial Foremex and Scrap Metal Servicies.

Foremex contributed its portfolio of clients and suppliers, as well as technical knowledge and management of the operation. While SMS, which is also a leading company in the recycling sector in the USA, which specializes in the process, collection, logistics and sale of services to manufacturing companies, the industrial sector, handling of scrap in steel plants, etc.

With a subsidiary called All Star Metals LLC, a leader in the dismantling of ships and barges in the USA, and which currently has operations in 18 states in the United States, provided the capital and equipment necessary for growth.

Later, thanks to SMS's knowledge and experience in "Industrial Steel Services" in the United States and Europe, this line of business was opened in Mexico. In 2015, the first transactions were closed with Frisa and Ternium and since then SMS Foremex has become one of the main competitors in this segment.

For its part, Grupo Industrial Foremex continues to operate and focuses on the management, consulting and advice on the collection, processing, handling and management of metal products, as well as on the storage and handling of equipment and different materials, in addition to the rental of its warehouse located in Tultitlan, State of Mexico.
